Furthermore, during the interview, Bailey revealed that they had to change Ariel’s character and her origin story. She also said that they have become more self-centered rather than being driven because of a boy.
She said, ‘I’m excited with my version of the film because we definitely changed that perspective where she’s trying to leave the ocean as a boy.’
