Hamas yesterday strongly condemned the storming of the Christ Church Prison and acts of vandalism by a group of Zionist settlers in the occupied Old City of Jerusalem.
In a press release Hamas described the settlers’ attack on the church as “fascist and racist behavior that contradicts international law and religious values.”
The Palestinian movement emphasized that the attack is part of “Israeli crimes against Palestinian holy places, historic churches, and cemeteries,” adding that such crimes “targeted the Judaise of the city and its Arab elements and change Palestine.”

The movement renewed its call to the international community and to human rights bodies and institutions “to work towards holding Israeli settlers accountable for their crimes and violations by international courts.”
