The death of Mary-Brian Clarke at 24, girlfriend of the late fashion model Jeremy Ruehlemann, has shocked the industry.
The heartbreaking news was confirmed in an obituary shared by her family. She died on March 21 and the statement says she died “unexpectedly” at the age of 24.
A mass burial will take place on Friday, March 31st in Houston with a reception to follow for people wishing to meet her family and share their condolences.

Who was Mary Brian Clarke?
Mary was a fashion model born on May 21, 1998. According to the obituary posted by her family, she was making bold moves in the fashion industry.
She studied at the Catholic Schools of St. Gregory and TK Gorman in Tyler and later attended Memorial High School in Houston. In her free time, she loved to play tennis.
Her family also said she was a “talented influence in the fashion industry” and had collaborated with the likes of TIBI, Elizabeth Bensinger, and MadHappy.
She was also an avid Instagram user, having amassed a loyal following of over 4,500 followers.
She died ‘unexpectedly’, her family said
In the obituary, her family wrote “Angels in heaven will certainly benefit from her style and fashion” after announcing Mary’s sudden death.
“As she arrives at the gates of heaven in one of many pairs of unique sunglasses, more rings than her fingers could hold, and a furry jacket or hat and a pair of trendy sneakers, and the smile he was such a magnet for everyone,” they continued.
“Mary-Brian will always be remembered for her contagious laugh, her witty sense of humor and her unique ability to relate to others,” her family said. “She was a light to all who knew her, which came from her belief in the welfare of others.”
Mary is survived by her parents Resa and Brian Clarke, and her sisters Abby, Hanna and Jack.
Her boyfriend Jeremy died in January
The shocking news comes after her boyfriend and colleague Jeremy died aged 27 in January this year.
During his modeling career, he participated in high-profile photoshoots and traveled around the globe. He was represented by talent agencies Soul NYC, Core Hamburg, Next Models, IMM Brussels, and The Mgmt Sydney.
His personal Instagram account revealed that he has worked with several major brands, including Super Dry, Ralph Lauren, and Zara.
Jeremy was close friends with American fashion designer Christian Siriano and they often worked together on various modeling projects.
