Yemen: Houthis to release Saudi and other detainees in swap
Yemen’s Houthi group said on Monday it would release 15 Arabs, three Sudanese and several other detainees in exchange for 700 prisoners from the other side of the Yemeni conflict, following exchange talks in Switzerland backed by the United Nations.
“The ongoing negotiations in Geneva are moving towards a humanitarian agreement under which 700 prisoners, including women and civilians, will be released in exchange for the release of 15 Saudi prisoners of war, 3 Sudanese and others,” said the head of the group. negotiator Mohammed Abdulsalam said on Twitter.
