Johnson is trying to keep his distance from Shazam, perhaps the closest relative in DC’s sprawling Black Adam family.
Meanwhile, Levi seems to have confirmed the news earlier this week. He took to his Instagram story to repost some excerpts from The Wrap report.
Additionally, he captioned the post with a caption reading, ‘The truth will set you free.’
Additionally, Levi also shared a message on his Twitter handle to defend Shazam Fury of the Gods after its release at the US box office.
He said, ‘I think our biggest issue is marketing. This is a perfect family movie, and yet many families don’t know that. That’s just a shame.’

David F Sandberg, the director of the Shazam sequel also confirms the report
Shazam director David F Sandberg also confirmed the speculations claimed in The Wrap’s report.
He sat down with The Hollywood Reporter after the release of Shazam Fury of the Gods and talked about the sequel.
He said, ‘There used to be characters from [Black Adam’s] Justice League, but that fell apart three days before we were going to roll cameras.’
In addition, he stated, ‘So Peter Safran, who produced this film and Peacemaker, made several calls, and thankfully, Jen Holland and Steve Agee were able to come on very short notice.’
Meanwhile, the report on The Wrap said that Johnson vetoed, ‘a planned post-credits scene in Black Adam, in which Shazam would have been recruited by Hawkman Aldis Hodge, and other costumed heroes, into the Justice Society of America.’
Regardless, Johnson has previously backed out of starring in another Fast and the Furious movie after reportedly falling out with Vin Diesel.

Does rock music have that much power over a character he played?

Adam black enjoyed it & I’m a big WWE fan. but damn all these accusations against The Rock make me dislike him as a person. You know how cool a DC universe would be with these worlds finally coming together? Black Adam is Shazam’s villain anyway. Dude really messed it up.

WB would have the final decision, not Dwayne Johnson (even if he wouldn’t say). We should all know about this but I think this makes the story more clickable.

At some point I am glad that the Rock is leaving the projects because he is entitled. Black Adam vs Superman? Adding Krypto’s voice just because he wanted to be the main character? Naaah, I’m buried
