Recently, Zachary Levi seems to have confirmed that Shazam 2 Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson intentionally blocked Black Adam’s cameo appearance in Shazam 2.

Zachary Levi claims Dwayne Johnson sabotaged Shazam 2

According to recent news, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson ‘knelt down’ the latest film Shazam 2. In addition, he refused to allow any of his Black Adam co-stars to be involved in the film with for a cameo, including himself.

In addition, Zachary Levi himself apparently confirmed that Johnson refused to participate in Shazam! Fury of the Gods.

In addition, The Wrap revealed that Johnson also did not allow Levi to appear in a cameo scene for Black Adam.

Johnson is trying to keep his distance from Shazam, perhaps the closest relative in DC’s sprawling Black Adam family.

Meanwhile, Levi seems to have confirmed the news earlier this week. He took to his Instagram story to repost some excerpts from The Wrap report.

Additionally, he captioned the post with a caption reading, ‘The truth will set you free.’

Additionally, Levi also shared a message on his Twitter handle to defend Shazam Fury of the Gods after its release at the US box office.

He said, ‘I think our biggest issue is marketing. This is a perfect family movie, and yet many families don’t know that. That’s just a shame.’

David F Sandberg, the director of the Shazam sequel also confirms the report

Shazam director David F Sandberg also confirmed the speculations claimed in The Wrap’s report.

He sat down with The Hollywood Reporter after the release of Shazam Fury of the Gods and talked about the sequel.

He said, ‘There used to be characters from [Black Adam’s] Justice League, but that fell apart three days before we were going to roll cameras.’

In addition, he stated, ‘So Peter Safran, who produced this film and Peacemaker, made several calls, and thankfully, Jen Holland and Steve Agee were able to come on very short notice.’

Meanwhile, the report on The Wrap said that Johnson vetoed, ‘a planned post-credits scene in Black Adam, in which Shazam would have been recruited by Hawkman Aldis Hodge, and other costumed heroes, into the Justice Society of America.’

Regardless, Johnson has previously backed out of starring in another Fast and the Furious movie after reportedly falling out with Vin Diesel.
